The Equity platform include Trading and Sales of Equities, Options, ETS and Program Trading. . The candidate will involve in the various technology development initiatives in the Data Platform group. The candidate will also involved in the re-architecture of the decision support systems on a limited _base_. The candidate will be involved in Building management reporting infrastructure. Re-architecture of the Cognos Application Performance enhancements in the Cognos 8 Unix environment User Support Experiences / Skills Required Good understanding of Sy_base_ data _base_ (ability to read/ write SQLs, views and stored procedures, extract and transformation process) Must handle multiple tasks/projects Must be good data modeler Effective communications skills Ability to work under minimal supervision Analytical/Problem solving skills Familiar with CVS is a plus Equities Market data, both domestic and international, is a plus Familiar with Solaris and Linux environment is a plus Web development/JAVA experience is a plus Complex report writing experience with Cognos 8, _meta_data modeling, report performance tuning Hands on Cognos Administration with installation, server tuning *Environment : Cognos 8.3/8.4, Sy_base_ 12.5/ 15.0.3, Solaris 5.9* Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Mathematics is a must. Master degree is preferred. Minimum 8 years of Congos experience. Experience in Financial industry with Equities/FI/International Domain knowledge would be a plus plus Knowledge is of SDLC process is a must. The candidate needs to be self-motivated, with excellent communication skill, willing to work at the trading desk, be able to respond to requests in timely manner, and experienced working in a collaborated environment.
