Hello Rubyists, Just wanted to send a follow up to my previous email about the start-up company that is funded by a Private Equity firm and the CEO, who is a very nice guy and father of 4 kids, runs a hedge fund and is an entrepreneur. They have a high end predictive modelling system (cost 600k!) for their hedge fund (analyze risks, trends, in equity markets) but they have acquired an internet company which they are now using the system for additional use: consumer, internet lead generation / search engine marketing and they are growing fast as their revenues are in the 9 figure range through multiple lines of businesses (career , education, and professional services training, advertising with pay per conversion model). The CEO is looking for 2 strong ruby developers, one of which needs some front end design experience (but don't worry, he's not looking for a rockster graphics designer and I know several of you are working on building up design skills so that's a plus), and the second one is a senior level developer who can potentially grow into a CTO and can comfortably interface with investors and other CTOs. Salary is very flexible and open - the main thing here is that the start up is growing very fast and they need people who are interested in a permanent position and looking to grow with the company (they currently have Ruby contractors).
