Mergers & Acquisitions will execute a full range of business development and M&A activities. He/She will contribute significantly in driving the aggressive growth _object_ives for the company. Qualifications Ideal Experience ? Minimum of 6 years of professional experience ? Substantial portion of career spent executing M&A transactions, approximately 10 deals and/or 3 years ? Some experience with international organizations and/or cross-border transactions Additional attractive experience would include: ? Experience working in a corporate environment ? Some management experience ? Experience in online content, publishing or media industries ? Experience in software and technology ? Experience directly or indirectly in the legal vertical ? Comfortable working with small, diverse teams in a matrix environment as the selected candidate will work with subsidiary and company management in a variety of project oriented analyses, consistent with the broad scope of his/her responsibilities. ? Excellent presentation and communication skills and the ability to communicate ideas effectively, at all levels of management, throughout the organization. ? Selected individual must be able to come into a position that does not have a great deal of structure, who can go with the flow? and who can add value in a relatively short period of time. ? He/she will have a great deal of confidence, will relish a challenge and will not be satisfied with anything less than the highest performance. ? The Senior Director role is responsible for managing and closing selected M&A activities across the business units which are currently in North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America. ? This Senior Director role will have a high degree of interaction with various members of the corporate leadership team. ? The Senior Director will help develop effective acquisition processes, with the Corporate and Business Unit leadership, which improve the companys effectiveness in the acquisition process. ? Evaluate acquisitions targets and make recommendations whether or not to proceed with the transaction. Analyze economics and build business cases behind portfolio synergies and deal rationale. ? Effectively present findings, analysis and valuations to senior management. ? Partner with cross-functional teams across global business units to conduct due diligence activities comprising legal, financial, and commercial due diligence for potential mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and investments. ? Help drive an improved, streamlined business development process by implementing more efficient methodologies and best practices from deal inception to deal closure. ? Assist the individual business development teams to research and analyze acquisition opportunities that are in close strategic alignment with the overall Company and Business Unit strategy. Lead the identification and pursuit of potential opportunities that may fall outside of the Companys current business operations. ? Will lead and manage transaction cycle for selected deals that span across the entire Company. ? Mentor and develop new junior team members and help build out the Global Business Development organization Other Information The preferred level of education for this position is Masters Level Degree.
